something BLUE!

So today after work I decided to hit up Hobby Lobby to get some blue acrylic paint to paint the bottom of my wedding shoes! So here's how I did it!
Things you'll need-
•rubbing alcohol
•cotton ball
•paint brush
•acrylic paint
•your wedding shoes
•custom decals (optional)

Okay so I started off by cleaning off the soles with rubbing alcohol.. These are fairly new but I still did it anyways! Let that dry completely (about 5 mins).

I used "Spa Blue" by Americana acrylic paint to paint the soles. This paint dries fairly fast too. It took me about 2 coats surprisingly!
The bottom of these were originally red too! (I'm assuming they were trying to copy Christian Louboutin!)

After first coat.

I let the first coat dry for about 10 mins.. Again, this paint dries REALLY fast!
After the second coat, I couldn't see any more red so I just called it good!
Here they are after the second coat drying!

I let them dry for another 10 mins. I ordered some custom decals for the bottom of my shoes just for fun. Also looks really cute in pictures! :)
Here's my final product!! IM IN LOVE!! It turned out so perfect!

I love my something blue! 💙

P.S. For those wondering, I got my shoes on AliExpress.com, they came from somewhere in China.. Took well over 1 month to get here, BUT I only paid $18.99 for them!! So overall, I spent about $30 on this project :)
Shoe Decals were bought on Etsy from the shop CraftilyEverAfterIL!

Junk Hippy: the Finds & the Outcomes!

So Junk Hippy was in town this Saturday.. Wow oh wow!!! Soo many goodies in one building! Wish I could buy everything but I was there on a mission- to get stuff for the wedding! I got an old suitcase & a HUGE letter M [for my soon to be last name, Middleton ;)]
That's the before on the left, and the after on the right! My wedding colors are pastels so the mint was perfect!! I had so much fun making this box and so pleased with the outcome! :) the best part was that I only spent about $35 making it! Way better then buying one from Etsy for $150

There's my 24" M!!!! It was only $13 and $3.99 for the spray paint! It'll be making an appearance on my popcorn bar table!! Eeeeeekkk!!! I'm sooo excited to start crafting for that table! So many cute ideas flowing through this brain, ha!!

I'm overall so happy with how everything turned out! I can't wait to start on some more projects and share them with you all!

Xoxo, Paolla
